Meet Delia Ortiz!

Delia serves as the Intake Specialist at Freedom Through Education and has been a dedicated member of the organization for more than 11 years. As one of the first people participants meet when they return home after incarceration, she plays an essential role in helping them begin their reentry journey with confidence and hope. Through her compassionate approach, Delia guides individuals through the intake process, helping them navigate available resources while building trust and creating a welcoming environment. Her years of experience and genuine care for others have made her a steady source of encouragement for countless participants as they take their first steps toward rebuilding their lives.

Delia believes her path to Freedom Through Education was a divine calling. Her passion for serving others comes from a deep desire to care for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside participants as they begin a new chapter, offering kindness, understanding, and support every step of the way. For Delia, every individual deserves to feel seen, valued, and given the opportunity to build a brighter future.
