Jennifer Kane

Case Manager / SUDCC

Meet Jennifer Kane!

Jennifer serves as a Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor II (SUDCC II) and Case Manager at Freedom Through Education, where she is dedicated to helping justice-involved individuals overcome barriers and build fulfilling, independent lives. She provides substance use counseling, case management, employment readiness support, housing assistance, and connections to vital community resources that empower participants to achieve long-term stability. While incarcerated, Jennifer completed the OMCP Offender Mentor Certification Program in Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counseling, an experience that ignited her passion for walking alongside others in recovery. She is also pursuing a degree in Social Work, further expanding her knowledge and commitment to serving individuals, families, and communities.

Jennifer's passion for this work is deeply rooted in her own journey of transformation. Having experienced the challenges of rebuilding her life after incarceration, she understands the life-changing impact that encouragement, guidance, and second chances can have. Through Freedom Through Education, she is able to combine her professional training with her lived experience to offer participants both practical support and genuine hope. Jennifer is especially grateful for the organization's culture of compassion, where staff members support one another just as wholeheartedly as they support participants. Seeing individuals gain confidence, secure employment, reunite with their families, and realize their full potential is what inspires her each day and reminds her why this work matters.

Life Motto: "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life."
