Meet Jerry Wizar!

Jerry serves as a House Manager at Freedom Through Education, where he has spent the past two years helping participants build a strong foundation as they transition back into society. His leadership is rooted in both professional experience and personal understanding, allowing him to connect with participants in a meaningful and authentic way. Prior to joining Freedom Through Education, Jerry served a life sentence, during which he became actively involved in facilitating Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), and Celebrate Recovery/Christian Growth (CGA) groups. Those experiences strengthened his passion for mentorship, accountability, and helping others pursue lasting personal growth.

Jerry's journey with Freedom Through Education began with a simple but powerful desire- to build a better life for himself. Today, he is grateful for the opportunity to help others do the same. Having experienced the challenges of reentry firsthand, Jerry understands how important encouragement, structure, and community are during this life-changing transition. As a House Manager, he is committed to walking alongside participants, offering guidance, support, and hope as they overcome obstacles and create brighter futures for themselves and their families.
