Meet Justen Hedden!
Justen serves as a Case Manager and Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC), where he is dedicated to helping justice-involved individuals successfully navigate the challenges of reentry and build meaningful, sustainable lives. He works closely with participants by providing case management, substance use recovery support, housing and employment assistance, crisis intervention, and group facilitation, empowering each individual to overcome barriers and achieve long-term stability. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work at California State University, Chico, Justen is committed to expanding his knowledge and continuing to advocate for social justice and underserved communities.
What makes Justen's work especially impactful is his ability to connect with participants through both professional expertise and lived experience. Having personally experienced the challenges of addiction, incarceration, and rebuilding life after release, he understands firsthand the importance of hope, accountability, and having someone who believes in your potential. His passion for helping others stems from the belief that everyone deserves a second chance and the opportunity to create a brighter future. Every day, he is honored to walk alongside participants as they rebuild relationships, achieve personal goals, and discover that lasting change is possible.
