Meet Vernon Julius!

Vernon serves as Freedom Through Education's Inventory Coordinator, bringing a strong background in residential and commercial maintenance, general construction, and hands-on problem solving. Known for his dependable work ethic and attention to detail, he helps ensure the organization has the tools, equipment, and resources needed to effectively support its programs and participants. His practical experience, combined with a commitment to quality and teamwork, makes him an invaluable part of the Freedom Through Education family.

Vernon's connection to Freedom Through Education is deeply personal. After being released from a life sentence, he entered the program as part of his parole requirements and experienced firsthand the encouragement, guidance, and opportunities that helped him successfully rebuild his life. That experience inspired him to stay and become part of the team, giving back to the same organization that supported him during one of life's biggest transitions. Today, Vernon is passionate about helping others navigate the challenges of reentry, believing that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow, succeed, and make a positive impact in their community. Through both his work and his story, he demonstrates the life-changing power of second chances.
